All drums, bass, guitars (including banjo) and vocals for Farryl Purkiss’s new album ‘Home’ were recorded at Digital Forest over a period of three weeks. Kieran Kelly then took the tracks back to the US where he added strings (Bon Iver’s string section), piano and mixed the album at his New York based studio, The Buddy Project.
“Farryl Purkiss is a South African singer-songwriter based in Cape Town. Purkiss first picked up the guitar when he was fifteen years old and began writing songs shortly after his sixteenth birthday. He released a self-financed EP in 2004 and was signed to 2Feet Music shortly afterwards.
